PayID is the fastest way to fund a casino account in Australia. You send money straight from your banking app using nothing more than an email address or mobile number, deposits start at just $10, it clears in about 30 seconds, and no card details ever change hands.
This page covers how to set PayID up, exactly how to deposit at Crown96, what the limits are, and what to do when a transfer does not show up. If you are after withdrawal timings instead, those are on our fast withdrawal page.
Deposit With PayIDPayID is a layer built on top of the New Payments Platform, the real-time payment infrastructure that Australian banks launched in 2018. Instead of entering a BSB and account number, you enter a simple identifier — usually an email address or a mobile number — and the system resolves it to the correct account behind the scenes.
Two things make it well suited to casino deposits. First, NPP transfers settle in near real time, seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. There is no batch processing window and no waiting until the next business day. Second, you are not handing over card numbers, CVV codes or bank login credentials to anyone. The transfer originates inside your own banking app, under your own security.
PayID is operated by the banks themselves rather than by a third-party payment processor. That means no intermediary is taking a cut, and Crown96 does not charge a fee on PayID deposits.
If you have never used PayID before, you need to register one first. This is done inside your own banking app and takes a couple of minutes.
PayID is supported by every major Australian bank including CommBank, ANZ, NAB, Westpac, ING, Bendigo, Macquarie, UBank and most credit unions.
Usually under Settings, Payments, or Profile depending on the bank. Look for "Register a PayID" or "Manage PayID".
Most people use their mobile number. An email address works equally well. Pick one and link it to the account you want to transact from.
Your bank sends a code to the number or email you registered. Enter it and the PayID is live immediately.
You only do this once. After registration, that identifier stays linked to your account and works for both sending and receiving.
Once your PayID is set up, funding your Crown96 account takes under a minute.
Select PayID from the payment method list and enter the amount you want to deposit in AUD. Minimum is $10.
Crown96 displays a destination PayID and a unique reference code. Copy both exactly. The reference code is what links the incoming money to your account.
Open your bank, choose Pay Someone or Pay to PayID, paste the PayID, enter the same amount, and paste the reference code into the description or reference field.
Your balance updates automatically once the transfer settles. No need to refresh or contact support in normal circumstances.
The reference code is the one step people get wrong. Without it, the transfer arrives but the system cannot match it to your account, and it has to be traced manually by support. That turns a 30-second deposit into a wait of several hours. Paste it, do not type it from memory.
10 AUD per transaction — one of the lowest entry points available to Australian players.
Set by your own bank, not by Crown96. Most Australian banks cap PayID somewhere between 1,000 and 20,000 AUD per day, adjustable in your app.
Typically 30 to 60 seconds. A first-ever transfer to a new PayID may be held by your bank for up to 24 hours.
50 AUD. Verified accounts are paid back to PayID within about 5 minutes, seven days a week.
None. Crown96 applies no daily or weekly withdrawal cap — take out your full balance in one transaction if you want to.
None from Crown96 on deposits or withdrawals, and Australian banks do not charge for domestic NPP transfers.
Versus bank transfer. Standard bank transfer works well here too — deposits clear in about three minutes and withdrawals in five, which is far quicker than the one-to-three business days this method usually implies. PayID is marginally simpler because you only need an email or phone number rather than a full BSB and account number.
Versus crypto. Crypto is not subject to any bank-imposed limit and settles just as fast on USDT or TRX. The downsides are network fees, the need to already hold coins or buy them on an exchange first, and price exposure if you hold rather than convert. PayID is simpler for anyone not already in crypto.
Versus card payments. Australian banks routinely decline card transactions coded as gambling, and many issuers block them outright as a matter of policy. PayID sidesteps this because it is a standard bank transfer rather than a merchant card transaction.
PayID is reliable, but a handful of situations cause delays. Working through these in order will resolve almost every case.
By far the most common cause. The money has arrived but cannot be matched to your account. Contact live chat with the transfer time, amount and the last four digits of your account and it will be traced manually.
Several Australian banks apply a 24-hour hold on the first payment to any new PayID as a scam-prevention measure. This is your bank's policy, not ours. Subsequent transfers to the same PayID go through instantly.
The bank account you send from must be in the same name as your Crown96 account. Transfers from a partner's account, a business account or a shared account will be held and may be returned.
Your bank caps how much you can send via PayID per day. If you have hit it, the transfer will fail at your end before it ever reaches us. The limit is adjustable in your banking app.
The destination PayID can rotate. Always copy it fresh from the deposit page rather than reusing one saved from a previous session.
Some banks apply additional screening to payments they associate with gambling. If your bank is holding it, only your bank can release it.
The security model is straightforward: you never share anything sensitive. Crown96 receives a payment notification and a reference code. We do not see your card number, your bank login, your BSB or your account number. The transfer is initiated by you, inside your bank's own app, protected by whatever authentication your bank uses.
That is a meaningfully better position than card deposits, where full card details are transmitted and stored somewhere in the payment chain.
One genuine risk worth knowing about: PayID scams exist, but they target people receiving money, typically through fake marketplace listings claiming a buyer needs to "upgrade to a business PayID". Sending money to a PayID you copied from a logged-in account page is not exposed to this. If you ever get an unexpected message asking you to send funds to unlock a payment, it is a scam regardless of context.
PayID works in both directions. Once your Crown96 account is verified, you can withdraw to the same PayID you deposit from, with a $50 minimum, no daily maximum, and payouts typically landing within 5 minutes.
The one thing that reliably delays a first payout is identity verification. Upload your ID when you open the account rather than waiting until you have a win to cash out — it takes a few minutes and removes the only real bottleneck in the process. Full details and pending-status explanations are on the fast withdrawal page.
PayID is available across effectively the entire Australian banking system. That includes the big four — Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, ANZ and NAB — along with ING, Macquarie, Bendigo Bank, Bank of Queensland, Suncorp, UBank, Up, ME Bank, HSBC Australia, St George, Bank of Melbourne, BankSA and the great majority of credit unions and mutual banks.
If your institution is connected to the New Payments Platform, PayID works. Almost every retail bank in Australia is.
Usually 30 to 60 seconds. The exception is a first-time transfer to a new PayID, which some banks hold for up to 24 hours as a fraud check.
10 AUD. Your deposit ceiling is whatever daily limit your own bank applies, not one set by us.
